The area
Area: P. D. O. Jumilla
Vintage: 2023
Variety: 100% Monastrell
Vineyard: Dry-farmed vines planted in a stony limestone-brown soil, very poor in organic matter, with a density of 1500 vines.
Altitude: 800 meters above sea level
Yield: 4500kg/ha. approximately
Climate: Continental influenced by the Mediterranean and the
Manchegan plateau. It is sunny and arid, receiving 3000
hours of sunshine yearly and low rainfall (300 liters per
year). The average annual temperature is of 16ºC.
Winters are cold with temperatures below zero, and
Summers are very hot, reaching over 40ºC.
The Production
Elaboration: The grapes are harvested by hand and placed in 10,000 kg stainless steel tanks, where fermenta:on
and macera:on take place for 15 days at a
temperature of 25ºC.
The Personality
Appearance: Ruby purplish red color with purplish edges, with vivid hues of youth, clean and bright appearance, very
attractive and good alcoholic legs.
Scent: Attractive aroma, fresh, fruity, and sweet, with lots of
fruit on the nose and clean aromas. With notes of
fresh red and black fruit, cherries, raspberries, and
blackberries.
Palate: Fleshy entrance in the mouth, with many fruit
sensaMons and light vegetable sensaMons. Medium
persistence through retro-nasal passage, bringing back
the fruit.
